Aces ongoing reissue programme of selected titles from the Modern labels Crown subsidiary continues with an expanded version of the labels first-ever 12 inch release.
"A Rockn Roll Dance Party" features just about all of the mainstays of the Modern R&B roster, and many of the labels most enduring classics - as well as some rockin goodies that were originally exclusive to the first vinyl release.
The original album was issued twice, with the second issue featuring six track changes. This package collects up all 18 of the tracks that were featured across both issues, and augments them with seven more goodies that are mostly new to Ace CD.
With all tracks newly remastered from the original sources, this stuff has never sounded so good.
Watch out for a similarly-expanded version of "A Hollywood RocknRoll Record Hop", this collections companion piece, in early 2007.
