In the Fifties, Buck Owens was a hot Telecaster picker who travelled south fromBakersfield to the Capitol Building, Vine Street, Hollywood to play on numeroussessions, eventually signing to Capitol and having a decade long string of hits thatcommenced with “Under Your Spell Again” in 1959. Prior to his major label debut,Buck recorded many 45s for regional labels such as Bakersfield’s Pep. This setcollects the best of his gritty early days.
