Hits such as ´Uptown Girl' (a respectful nod to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons) , 'The Longest Time' and 'Careless Talk' were serenades to the super model that would become Joel's wife: Christie Brinkley. (We'll just gloss over the fact that he dated and sings about Elle McPherson on 'This Night' as well... Some guys have all the luck).
