Andy Williams has released a huge amount of best-selling albums, in a very long career. The two albums presented on this Ace CD were the first two that he ever released. They were recorded for Cadence Records, the label that brought Andy his first chart action.

"Sings Steve Allen" is an early concept album, which includes exclusively compositions by the popular US TV show host of the 50s.

"Andy Williams" is collection of his earliest chart 45s and their flipsides, including many favourite Top 20 hits.

The best possible sources have been used to assemble this CD, including many of the tapes that were used to manufacture the original UK releases of a lot of this material, almost half a century ago.
