• Reached Top 5 in the official Jazz and Blues charts and received rave reviews.
• Features a musicians' 'dream team' of the calibre of Eric Clapton, Chris Rea, Albert Lee, Georgie Fame, Andy Fairweather Low and Mick Taylor.
'We just love to strut our stuff!'......That's the theme tune of a band having a ball.
Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings launch into another cavalcade of jazz and blues standards from the 1930s and 1940s with tremendous zeal and enthusiasm. The all-star line up has Georgie Fame, Albert Lee, Peter Frampton and Eric Clapton among the soloists. The band - equipped with a splendid brass and rhythm section - play Wyman's favourite kind of music with such authenticity, that it sounds more like the originals than a 'cover'.
The 14 tracks on this 1998 second album from the Kings are all delightful as they eschew 'rock' for swing and good taste. Superbly produced and performed, this is more than a tribute to past glories; it's a celebration everyone should join. With 2 bonus tracks (previously only available on a US-only release) it's a 'real gone' CD!
