Originally released on Janus in 1971, one year prior the release of The Snake, Baby Batter (published in some countries as Electronic Progress ) is a very interesting album, characterized by an original fusion of psychedelic and jazz oriented guitars. A preference for the unexpected and original, makes Harvey Mandel at once one of the instrument’s “maestros” and greatest experimentors. Both records reissued by Akarma are evidence of one of America’s greatest guitar talents.
