"Battlement" (1979) is a legendary record featuring unknown German musicians, working and playing with a sense of perfection in the wake of GENESIS. The vocals, sung by Frenchman Frederic JOOS turn out to be (Very) close to Peter GABRIEL's. NEUSCHWANSTEIN creates music with the same complexity, intensity and power as their famous elders used to do. The songs are totally original and innovative though, with some KING CRIMSONesque skid. A pure jewel ! The Musea reissue has been fully remixed so as to offer a sound quality as good as possible. Note that the first track features ex-THE SCORPIONS drummer Hermann RAREBELL, while the last track is a magnificent 8 minute song, with one of the musicians on vocals. You cannot afford to miss that !
