LPCDreissues: Looking forward to the past

This record includes 14 original tracks from various recordings of TOAD, the legendary group to achieve worldwide success at a time when only British and American groups dominated the charts. Most of the songs on this CD have never been released before and tracks like "Tonight" and "Music" feature John Giblin on bass, Mel Gaynor on drums and Tommy Eyre on keyboards. Other tracks feature Mike Fraser on keyboards plus, of course, the three original TOAD members: Vic Vergeat, Cosimo Lampis and Werner Frohlich. The first five songs feature Bobby Blotzer on drums, Tom Croucier on bass and were recorded in Los Angeles. This record also includes the only TOAD cover version of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze".
