CD compilation.Surprisingly few African bands have been successful in Europe given the roots of most popular music. However the Soulful Dynamics from Liberia created quite a buzz when they arrived in Hamburg, Germany in 1969. Singer Emanuel Obdekah fronted the seven-piece group and they quickly slotted into the thriving club scene. The band played a lively mixture of catchy pop tunes and African rhythms, and in January 1970 they enjoyed a Number hit in Germany with 'Mademoiselle Ninette.' TRACK LISTING: 1.
