By many regarded as their apex, Black Celebration (1986) is the fifth album by Depeche Mode. The album cemented the darkening of the sound direction Depeche Mode was heading into, which was becoming slightly apparent on their preceding albums Construction Time Again and Some Great Reward.
Cited as one of the most influential albums of the '80s, Black Celebration made the British band a dominant force in the electronic music scene. Prior to the album's release, "Fly On The Windscreen" was originally released as a single's B-side with a different mix. Further singles that sprung off the album were "Stripped", "A Question Of Lust" and "But Not Tonight".
