Blackboard Jungle Dub immediately became a milestone in the historyof dub for it was the first album to treat dub as a separate genre. Theoriginal 1973 issue was pressed in only 200 copies and contained thehardest rhythm cut by Perry during the previous years. Noteworthytracks include "African Skank" - based on Junior Byles' "A Place CalledAfrica" - and "Dreamland Skank", "Moving Skank" and "Kaya Skank" which are dub versions ofWailers' "Dreamland", "Keep On Moving" and "Kaya".
