Lick the Tins will probably be best remembered for the track 'Can't Help Falling In Love' which was released as a single after being the featured song in the film "Some Kind Of Wonderful".
Classed as acoustic-pop, the album first came out on the Sedition label on March 29th 1986. It was re-released on the Mooncrest label on November 20th 1995 and is now a rarity fetching big prices on eBay.
Being of Irish extraction the gravel-voiced,tin-whistle driven sound found favour in the heady days of pop music during the eighties.
Lick the Tins took their name from a nickname given to an old tramp by the children from the songwriter-guitarist Ronan Heenons' hometown.
