Between their split from their Acuff Rose song publisher, Don’s divorce and the launch of their Calliope label, the Everly Brothers had their share of distractions, which may explain why this 1961 album didn’t click commercially. And the fact that it was devoted to purely pop material, with a side each devoted “To Dancing” and “To Dreaming,” didn’t help! But such was the beauty and power of their sound that this record still has some great moments, full of their incredible harmonies and some great guitar work from Hank Garland. Includes "My Mammy," "Muskrat," "My Gal Sal," "Grandfather’s Clock," "Bully of the Town," "Chlo-E," "Mention My Name in Sheboygan," "Hi-Lili, Hi-Lo," "The Wayward Wind," "Don’t Blame Me," "Now Is the Hour (Maori Farewell Song)," "Little Old Lady," "When I Grow Too Old to Dream," and "Love Is Where You Find It."
