Bob Keane ran a bit of a loose ship at Del-Fi Records, never more so than when he released the Centurions’ (then spelled Centurians) one and only record with the exact same album art and catalog number as an earlier release on the label, Bruce Johnston’s 'Surfers’ Pajama Party' (which we’re also releasing)! That didn’t exactly help the commercial fortunes of this Newport Beach-based combo, but flash forward some 30 years to when Quentin Tarantino used their 'Bullwinkle Pt. II' in 'Pulp Fiction', and suddenly the band enjoyed royalties galore. We’re releasing the album with the revamped art and title that first surfaced in 1995, and quite a fine surf album it is, featuring the cuts 'Bullwinkle Pt. II; Intoxica; Body Surfin’; Holiday Girl; Church Key; Surf Bird; Vesuvius; Tuff Soul; Sano; Comanche; Latinia', and 'Surfin’ at Mazatland'.
