·    The UK “newies” scene of the 80s took to the label as it had many great sides that were overlooked in the rush to find Wigan stompers in the 70s. Tracks by Phil Terrell, Barbara Brown and the Metrics were huge in that era. The quality of the songs and productions from label owner and major jazz talent Joe Evans was always very high: not a turkey in sight. Lesser-known songs by big artists such as the Manhattans, Lee Williams and the Cymbals and the Pretenders are regularly unearthed or revived for a new lease of life on the ongoing scene.""
