Mattias HOLMGREN is a young Swedish musician who played in several heavy-metal bands before creating and recording his own music. He focuses on his Progressive rock band called TIRED TREE. The first album entitled "Changing Sides" (2002) contains a collection of twelve sophisticated songs as well concerning the harmonies as concerning the arrangements. The clear voice of the drummer, his melodies accessible and elaborate at the same time, the obviously positive atmospheres of some tracks make this music close to JADIS's (Or even IQ's sometimes) or Despite the punctual intervention of a guitarist and a keyboardist, this guy knows how to do everything: drums, bass, keyboards and guitars are in perfect harmony to serve quality. A beautiful panel of melodies enhanced by a sensitive singing and very elaborate compositions. Could we ask some more ?
