The importance of this album, apart from the beautiful compositions, is that only a few performances of Cage have been recorded, and this made Cheap Imitations a rare and precious release. Beautiful artwork reproducing the original edition, with a rare photo of Cage (on the inner sleeve) attending to a TV Quiz in Italy during 1958, where he won Itl. 5.000.000 answering questions about mushrooms.
