Openly gay, dressed in drag, with song titles like "My Baby's Got A Hard-on", and "Pretty Paedophiles" got them burned and banned from Rough Trade, and secured them lovely British press comments like "In A Word, worthless. Sewer Sentiments throughout"- Melody Maker, or, "A motley group of ego-maniacs devoid of any musical integrity, ideas or subtelty; monochrome chauvinism by cliche-pitted brats"-Sounds. Punk! This includes everything from the 7"s to the demos.
