• This release marks the beginning of our programme to release all of Canadian singer Ian Tyson’s solo recordings.• Originally half of the early 60s folk duo Ian & Sylvia, Tyson retired from recording when their musical and marital relationship broke up in the late 70s. He concentrated on working his ranch, but returned to music in the early 80s with a series of albums that dwelt on the life of the modern working cowboy.• Tyson is a genuine cowboy - he only learned to play the guitar when he was recovering from injuries received in a rodeo fall.• “Cowboyography” contains 11 self-penned songs and went platinum on its release.• A mid-price release.
