Released in 1981, Dad Loves His Work is singer-songwriter James Taylor's 10th album. The record is essentially the reason Taylor divorced his then-wife Carly Simon ; she gave him an ultimatum to cut back on his music and relentless touring and spend more time with her and the family. When he named the album, his choice became pretty obvious.
Noteworthy tracks on Dad Loves His Work are "Her Town Too" (the single reached #11 on the Billboard Pop singles chart), "I Will Follow", "London Town" and the haunting album closer "That Lonesome Road".
