One of the most influential folk rockers to come out of the 1960s Greenwich Village scene, Fred Neil’s compositions have been made famous by the likes of Jefferson Airplane (who often played Neil songs at their live concerts), and Harry Nilsson (who did a rendition of Neil’s “Everybody’s Talkin” for Midnight Cowboy), while Neil himself has remained deliberately in the shadows. Do You Ever Think Of Me? contains Fred Neil’s second and third solo albums, Fred Neil and Sessions, both released in 1967. His second, self-titled album was the proud peak of Fred’s career, completing his transition from acoustic folk to folk-rock.
