In 1976, award winners of DownBeat magazine's annual poll assembled to present a concert in Chicago, the city in which the publication was founded and based.
The performances on this disc were simulcast on KZEW-FM radio and TV Channel 13 and feature some of the top jazz stars of the mid-1970s, including George Benson, Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea and Gary Burton.
