DEYSS is a Swiss neo Progressive band, that had its moment of glory during the second part of the Eighties. Its music evokes the best of MARILLION and GENESIS, of course with its own personality. "At King" (1985) offers a very sophisticated, energetic and expressive music, with a lot of breaks in rhythms, many climates changes and wonderful combinations between vocals, keyboards and guitar. The Swiss musicians' second album, "Vision In The Dark" (1987), is more elaborated than the first record. It is still marked by GENESIS influences in the orchestrations, the richness of the compositions and the instrumentations. Furthermore, there is a YES touch in the vocals. Truly excellent ! "The Dragonfly From The Sun" is a box containing a CD and a 52 page-booklet, both telling the story and the first amateur recordings of the band, from its beginnings as a trio (Guitar, keyboards & drums). Apart from the original 1979 recordings, one could also find an instrumental version of a title originally sung and published nine years after by JESTER. An essential band, that you have to remember !
