Sealed. Remastered at Abbey Road. 180 gram. Gatefold. 16-page booklet. Insert with additional session portraits. Includes bonus seven-inch single with two previously unreleased tracks. Strictly limited edition. Three Black Feathers Records are proud to present the definitive collectors' edition of Dreams Of Breathing Underwater, the dazzling 2008 album release from twice Mercury Prize-nominated singer Eliza Carthy. Featuring a kaleidoscope of musical styles, textures and moods, Dreams Of Breathing Underwater is her most ambitious work to date, a very personal songwriting project that encompasses everything from Mariachi horns to raw rockabilly guitar and even the odd Stylophone. Peggy Seeger it ain't. The album has been remastered by Steve Rooke, chief engineer at Abbey Road studios, and pressed on high-quality 180 gram vinyl for the ultimate in audiophile quality. It contains a new interview with Carthy, as well as photo outtakes from the Dreams Of Breathing Underwater sessions and an extensive critical appraisal by Colin Irwin, Mojo magazine's folk correspondent and one of the UK's leading authorities on the genre. John Haxby's lavish CD artwork was, it seems, made for vinyl and has been reproduced exactly for LP lovers right down to its 16-page colour lyric booklet - all luxuriating inside a spectacular gatefold sleeve. The album has been pressed in a strictly limited edition run of 1,000 copies and includes a free seven-inch single featuring two unreleased tracks: Drink, a Carthy composition from the Dreams Of Breathing Underwater recordings, previously available only as a download, and Lemady, a traditional tune performed by Carthy alongside Martin Green and Eddi Reader, from the album Dinner, which is on sale only at Carthy's live shows."
