When STEVE EARLE came to prominence with his classic “GUITAR TOWN” album most new converts did not realise that he had already released some strong rockabilly and country-rock sides with his band THE DUKES for a small Nashville label called LSI. In 1987 Epic/Sony rounded up these titles and with some previously un-issued titles from the same source released the “EARLY TRACKS” album. The whole of that album along with four sides released on singles by Epic in 1985 is represented here.
