superb sound.
Despite the demeaning name, White Trash was an excellent group that showcased the remarkable talents
of Edgar, Johnny Winter's equally gifted younger brother.
He formed his own group in 1971, and this was their debut ten track album, featuring Edgar, backed by
Ronnie Montrose on guitar. Edgar sings and plays saxophone and keyboards with equal drive and energy -
as British audiences were reminded when he supported Alvin Lee at a recent London concert.
Although Edgar Winter would subsequently enjoy several US chart hit singles, this album gives an insight
into the first steps that led to a long and productive career. We have added a bonus track, the single edit of
'Keep Playin' That Rock 'n' Roll'.
