MARGE LITCH is no doubt about it one of the best modern Japanese symphonic Progressive rock band. All musicians are true virtuoso of their instrument, and use this to perform a delicate music with grandiose solos in the style of TERU’S SYMPHONIA, energetic parts worth of GERARD and an instrumental style close to DREAM THEATER. "Fantasien 1998" is a transfigured version of its first album, a literal epic adventure that will impress many a listener… This majestic work is magnified by Junko SERA’s splendid soprano voice, and by the occasional help of a masculine alter ego, Tomoki UENO (A singer previously heard in OUTER LIMITS). This gives us a possibility to hear real vocal duels worth of the greatest classic opera… With respective musical accompaniment ! Some much more electric sequences are regularly attached or superposed for a truly successful result. Here is then an absolutely unique experiment, far from the numerous other trials that are carried out in the Progressive heavy-metal field.
