Funk’s best-kept secret, the Fatback Band’s tight horns and rhythm section kept the fatback party jumpin and grooving all through the seventies. Founding member Bill Curtis once stated, “We’re workers, primarily. We call ourselves construction men. We hustle. When we come into a hall, we demolish the place!
