The second in Ace's series of King acetate restorations offers an overview of the important recordings by one of hillbilly music's most renowned 'brother' acts.Ace's previous volume of the Delmore's King sides (CDCHD 455) is one of the company's best sellers of the past decade. We are delighted that the content of the follow-up is just as good musically, and even better sound wise.Many of the acetates from which these recordings were taken had not been played in almost 50 years, prior to the transfers that were made for this CD.As is the policy throughout this series, where the acetate for the master take has been lost or destroyed we have used the most significant of the alternates available to us.Few of these tracks have ever been reissued before. Most have been unavailable for over half a century.Watch for more King R&B and hillbilly packages from Ace, all taken from the original acetates for maximum audio fidelity.
