One of the most popular all-female R&B groups of all time: the Pointer Sisters! Taking elements of jazz, soul, gospel and pop, their lethal brew of sensual and energetic dance music ruled the 1980s music charts. In 1990, June Pointer, one of the three founders (tragically recently deceased) left the group and was successfully replaced by Issa Pointer, the young daughter of Ruth Pointer, bringing new strength and enthusiasm to the entire group. This concert, recorded in 2004 at the Alberta Bait Theatre, finds the group still in top form and features energetic versions of all their greatest hits (i.e. “Slow Hand”, “He's So Shy”, “Fairytale”, “Chain Of Fools”, “Yes We Can, Can”, “I'm So Excited”, “Jump”) not to mention several excellent covers (i.e. “Fire” by Bruce Springsteen and “Wang Dang Doodle” by Willie Dixon).
