This first Fugs album was originally recorded for the Folkways label, in 1965. The band continued to shout, scream, yell poetry, and play guitar riffs/melodies between songs and the engineer could not determine when one song ended, and a new one began, so he just let the tape run. You will find that entire session here. They also recorded a live show, where they decided to throw handfuls of spaghetti at the audience, covering Andy Warhol in the process. Heavily into the anti-war movement, the Fugs found themselves friends with such notable personalities as Ginsberg and Holy Modal Rounders. The friendship with the Rounders evolved, and soon most of the Rounders became members of the Fugs as well. You'll find great song titles such as "Slum Goddess" and "I Saw The Best Minds Of My Generation Rot"(written by Ginsberg during his brief time as a member of the band). 30 minutes of unreleased music! 60 minutes in total!!
