Originally released in 1982, Discharge's legendary debut full-length LP was testimony to a new, uniquely brutal style of punk that took DIY ethics and apocalyptic / anti-establishment bravado, and threw it in the face of everything that had come before. Their accelerated "wall of sound" approach not only spearheaded the hardcore genre, but had a major impact on bands like Metallica as well, making them one of the most influential British punk bands in history.
