Released in 1972, Earth Harmony is a wonderfully unpretentious slice of British progressive rock that places equal emphasis on musicianship, melody and good humour. Rather than pursuing grand concepts or instrumental excess, Hokus Poke built their music around strong ensemble playing, lively rhythms and inventive arrangements that draw from rock, blues, folk and jazz. The result is an album that feels relaxed and spontaneous while revealing increasing musical depth with every listen.
