Allen Ginsberg first performed ‘Howl’ in 1955 and Fantasy recorded it in 1959, keeping the LP on catalogue continuously until 1985. It was reissued for the first time on CD in 1998 one year after his death, with additional notes from Anne Waldman and added photographic material, making this a fitting tribute to the work and the man.
