The JANIE JONES tapes took a lot of coordinating to ensure all the various tape decks we needed for this arrived at the same time. Janie had kept not just master tapes but even original 2 and 4 track half inch masters which she rescued from the studio at the time, so you will never hear this stuff in higher quality (we could of course have taken the cheap way out and dubbed off disc but where's the fun in that?). Janie also found her cassette of Joe Strummer from The Clash, which features Joe at home just doing an acoustic demo of a number called HOUSE OF THE JU JU QUEEN which he wrote for Janie to record when she came out of prison. She has allowed us to use this as a bonus item. Never mind about the music though, just wait until you see the pictures we have for this package! The sixties have never swung like this before.…
