Born in 1929, J.B.Lenoir began playing the blues with artists of the calibre of ElmoreJames, Sonny Boy Williamson, Memphis Minnie and Muddy Waters and began recordinghis repertoire in the early 50s as J.B. Lenoir & His Bayou Boys. The recordings presentedhere are of that same period, - when the band featured Lenoir himself on rhythm guitarand the great Al Galvin on drums - and are certainly some of Lenoir's most creative.Track listing - 1.
