Few German progressive rock albums embrace long-form composition as confidently as the only release by Ikarus. Rather than constructing the record around individual songs, the quartet developed expansive musical journeys that evolve through changing moods, shifting tempos and richly textured instrumental passages. Drawing on psychedelic rock, jazz and early progressive influences, the band created an album that feels exploratory without ever losing its sense of direction.
