Recorded in November 1961 right before Don and Phil began a six-month hitch in the Marine Corps, "Instant Party" offered the same mix of Broadway and film tunes as its predecessor, "Both Sides of an Evening," but the duo turned in some great performances nonetheless, particularly on "Trouble in Mind," "Jezebel," and "Step It Up and Go." Other tracks include "Theme from “Carnival”," "True Love," "Bye Bye Blackbird," "When It’s Night-Time in Italy It’s Wednesday over Here," "Oh! My Papa (O Mein Papa)," "Autumn Leaves," "Long Lost John," "The Party’s Over," and "Ground Hawg."
