Second and best album originally released in 1964. A few instruments and a little bit of electricity in this work. “Blend II” is a 24 minute long piece of jazz, folk, and Middle East influences. Featuring also 2 versions (acoustic and electric) of a J.S.Bach passage, a composition from the 14th century (Machaut’s “Triple Ballade”), Luiz Bonfa’s “Manha De Carnival” and an heavily reverbed and extended version of Chuck Berry’s classic “Memphis, Tennessee”. Featuring Billy Higgins on drums.
