This album's like a funky 45 party! Senor Soul first started out as one of those fake Latin acts in the LA scene -- kind of a soul jazz version of the Tijuana Brass -- but by the time of this album, they've turned into a hot funky combo, with a really wonderful sound! A wonderful blend of piano, vibes, percussion, and some totally great funky flute -- with a blown-out sound that reminds us of the way the instrument sounds on later work by groups like SOUL or The Duke Of Burlington.
