For years there have been rumours that Dyke and the Blazers Let A Woman Be A Woman existed in an extended version with an extended break. No-one had heard it except possibly running behind a recording of DJ Sonny Hopson on a CD of his late 60s radio show. The reason was that it was recorded on a machine that became obsolete about half an hour after it was made.
BGP have dug deep found the tapes and the masters and can now bring them to you. And what a discovery!. The break, used by Stetsasonic and Tupac amongst many others, is extended to over thirty seconds and the track is more dynamic than you might believe!
This twelve-inch will be perfect for those who want to scratch and manipulate the break and will be strictly limited to 1000 copies.
The B-side Funky Broadway Time also has a pretty good break to go with its pretty good groove.
