Although technicallyvery tied to the early 60's jazz blues style, he expanded the role of Hammondorgan in soul music by revisiting classic and contemporary hits like Isaac Hayes'"Theme From Shaft" or Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" with a never before heardgroove that launched a new trend in soul funk dance halls.
