George Thorogood – 1993-12-02-Aladdin Theater, Las Vegas NV
Since their arrival from out of Delaware in the 1970s, as a jarringly, energized and youthful bunch, their blue collar appeal has stoked a welcome fire within the rock fraternity. Their continued hard work has earned them much respect and numerous accolades from figures such as Randy Newman (much to Thorogood’s surprise).Their toiled brand of raucous, slide guitar-stoked, blues-rock, is a trademark of their relentless work combined with a devout passion for the blues. They are the band nextdoor who take on tunes by every blues icon with a furore and could open any rib party in any town on any given day of the year.
The 1993 tour marked the release of their ninth studio album Haircut, but as with all Thorogood and Destroyers shows, this was an all-inclusive party, honoured by a setlist that reflects on his twenty-odd years in the business. Echoes very proudly presents the entire FM broadcast (simulcast across numerous US radio stations), of George Thorogood and the Destroyers, live at the Aladdin Theater on 2nd December 1993.
Professionally re-mastered original recording with background liners and rare archival photos.
