Leaf Hound is a British hard rock band that originated in 1970, evolving out of the blues-rock outfit Black Cat Bones. Their 1971 debut, Growers of Mushroom, has since achieved cult status and is regarded as a foundational influence on both hard rock and stoner rock. Although the group disbanded soon after the album’s release, frontman Peter French revived Leaf Hound in 2004 with a refreshed lineup, eventually releasing the comeback album Unleashed in 2007.
