Peter Green's genius has its main roots in musical influences from achildhood spent in London's working class East End. Such variedinfluences as BB King, Muddy Waters and traditional Jewish music haveall contributed to the making of the legend. His unfortunate penchantfor drug use limited the span of his career, yet he is regarded as one of the most influential whiteblues guitarists ever. This intense collection features several of his best successes with the 1968-70Fleetwood Mac - before their move towards pop stardom - and some interesting tunes from histormented solo career throughout the 70s and the 80s. His brilliant guitar style which gained ayoung Green a spot in Peter Bardens' band and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers above all, is displayedhere with some classics like "Jumping At Shadows" and "Black Magic Woman", famously latercovered by Santana.Track listing - Side A: 1.
