Now ain’t life strange. Once upon a time you’re the co-founder of a Berkeley psychedelic electric folk group singing political protest songs and a couple of decades later you’re a lawyer. Well, the best way to beat ‘em is to join ‘em!Barry Melton was “The Fish” of Country Joe and The Fish who released 5 albums on Vanguard. Barry departed the band after the last Vanguard album, “CJ Fish” in 1970. He involved himself in various musical projects starting with a Barry Melton album for Vanguard entitled “Bright Sun Is Shining” (with Donny Hathaway on piano). His next project was this album, originally released in 1972, with Jay Levy, and the Dey brothers, Rick and Tony. The album was co-produced by Mike Bloomfield and long-time Bloomfield producer-engineer Norman Dayron.
