WELCOME TO LPCDREISSUES
Manfred Mann’s Earth Band is the early-’70s outfit fronted by keyboardist and bandleader Manfred Mann, celebrated for marrying prog-rock momentum to bluesy bite, with his jazz-tinged keyboards and synths at the center—and a habit of stretching and transforming material into their own widescreen sound.
Messin’ (1973), the group’s third studio album, arrived on June 15, 1973. It’s a brooding, keys-up-front record that leans into longer, more progressive workouts without losing its hard-rock core—led by the 10-minute title track and songs like “Buddah,” “Cloudy Eyes,” and “Get Your Rocks Off.” In the U.S., it was issued as Get Your Rocks Off with a slightly altered track list (“Pretty Good” replacing “Black and Blue”).
