Music from the Films of Marlon Brando explores the period between 1951-55 after Brando exploded onto the screen to revolutionize cinema and become one of the biggest stars in movie history. This compilation comprises themes and musical selections from all of Brandos early landmark films, A Streetcar Named Desire and Viva Zapata! (both Alex North) The Wild One (Leith Stevens), On the Waterfront" (Leonard Bernstein)-Julius Caesar (Miklos Rozsa) and Guys and Dolls where Brando sings both solo and with Jean Simmons. Some of them, such as Leonard Bernsteins original recordings for On the Waterfront are released digitally for the first time. Marlon Brando remains one of the best two or three male actors in the history of film. This compilation provides the soundtrack to his incredible start but over fifty years on Brando is a part of modern life; his legacy apparent in such major contemporary artistic and commercial successes as The Godfather Last Tango in Paris and Apocolypse Now'.
