Roswell Rudd, ace trombonist, and John Tchicai, celebrated saxophonist, perform their own compositions with strong support from Milford Graves (percussion), and Lewis Worell (bass). Graves & Worell also accompany Leroy Jones as he recites “Black Dada Nihilismus”. Recorded in November, 1964. Most of these artists went on to major artists featured in the Impulse jazz catalogue.
