Junior Parker is among one of the best blues singers and harmonica players of the post WWII period,
at least according to another artist who is no stranger to the blues: Sonny Boy Williamson.
Discovered by Ike Turner, Parker recorded his first singles for Modern Studios, before going on to
record for the legendary Sun, in 1953. As this album testifies Parker consolidated a harmonica style
that was all his own. Featuring classics like “Mystery Train”, “Tin Pan Alley”, “Sweet Home Chicago”,
“Next Time You See Me”, “Five Long Years”, and the sweet “I Need Love So Bad”, by Percy Mayfield.
